What is PRP?

PRP is platelet-rich plasma sourced from your own blood. To isolate PRP from the rest of a blood sample your provider obtains from a vein in your arm, they spin the sample in a centrifuge. PRP contains components that enhance your body’s ability to regenerate cells, heal, regrow hair, and eliminate unwelcome signs of aging.

What are the benefits of PRP?

You can expect numerous benefits after receiving treatment with PRP at Nuxe Med Spa. Examples include:

  • Fuller, thicker hair
  • Healthier-looking skin and hair
  • Fewer wrinkles
  • Fewer fine lines
  • Tighter skin
  • Younger-looking skin
  • Refreshed appearance
  • Skin revitalization
  • No pain
  • No surgery
  • No downtime
  • Natural-looking results

Your specialist can inject PRP into your scalp to stimulate natural hair regrowth. They may also inject PRP into targeted areas of your face or use PRP with microneedling or microdermabrasion during a facial.

Is PRP treatment right for me?

To find out if you’re a candidate for PRP treatment, your Nuxe Med Spa provider discusses your medical history, asks about your desired outcome, and examines your face, hair, and scalp. They personalize each PRP treatment to give you the exceptional anti aging results you deserve. Your specialist also lets you know what to expect during each treatment.

What should I expect during the procedure?

During the first step of PRP treatment, your provider takes a blood sample from a vein in your arm. They isolate PRP from the remaining blood and inject it into your scalp or face. Your provider may also apply PRP to the surface of your face after exfoliation, depending on your personalized needs and preferences.

What happens after PRP treatment?

After PRP treatment, you may have some tenderness, redness, or swelling at the site of treatment. You often need repeat PRP treatments to experience the best possible results. Over time as cells regenerate, you can expect younger-looking, revitalized skin or thicker hair. The Nuxe Med Spa team lets you know when to schedule your next PRP session.
